Metheny and Pastorious made their recording debuts on IAI Records in 1974. This video program combines a visual track containing animation  and abstract video synthesis made by video artist, Carol Goss with the 1974 audio recording. The video contains performaces from the Not Still Art Festival 1997 and the Video History Conference 1998.  The final piece  was produced on the David Jones Colorizer at the Experimental Television Center, Binghamton, New York in 1974 and 1975.

The audio was recorded at Blue Rock studio in NYC on June 16, 1974. The audio engineer was Jan Rathbun and the mixing engineer, David Baker. The audio producer was Paul Bley.
